Walk into Sanxia, Discover its Vitality and Energy
We returned to our hometown in 2006 and saw that, like many other cities and towns in Taiwan, it was evolving rapidly because of urban development, and the precious ethos of the land, such as the cultures, education and environment, were also vanishing rapidly. “What can we do?” This was all happening too quickly and we were caught off guard, but we also began to wonder if it was possible to plant a seed of hope for our hometown and this land of Taiwan. Thus, CAN Culture, Art & Nature was established in 2010. We renovated a vacant centennial house and began to run KOUJI Restaurant, HIDEKAWA Domestic Soybean Products, HAKSIP Village, and Grass Book House and Green Grass Occupational School for people to get to know Sanxia again through the aspects of food, tourism, leaning, creation and love, as well as for creating the most sincere living connections between people. We have not forgotten our original intentions and beliefs along the journey. We have continued to spread beautiful stories of this land, devoting ourselves in establishing a foundation without hesitation to make impacts silently, because we hope to bring to this land more positive energy, courage and sunlight. Every CAN event that you take part in will become a drive of sustainable and cycling feedback.
