Every year in Taiwan, there are over 43,000 children from high-risk families, 23,000 high school dropouts and 4,000 middle school dropouts facing scholastic deficiency and survival challenge alone due to inadequate family function. Some of them even leave the learning site early and continue to fall into a vicious cycle. There are many children around us who are living in a gray area, close to being reported or experience learning disruption, and they don’t have support from their family or social resources.
