Master No1. Triple Arts Metalworking _ Master WEN, QING-LONG

“Triple Arts Metalworking” is the perfect example of Can Culture Art and Nature affecting traditional industries through “design capacity.” Master WEN, QING-LONG is a metalworking master with the background of the conventional apprentice system. Even though possessing solid skills, he can only survive on taking cases of foundries. With Can Culture Art and Nature’s help, WEN, QING-LONG broke out of the traditional framework as a metalworking master, established his personal workshop, developed design products, managed to perform art creation, and further provided experience services, to deliver the warmth of handmade metalworking. By way of stocktaking and target matching, Can Culture Art and Nature wishes to find the value in the new generation for traditional industries in the community through continuous usage of design resources.

When you visit Master WEN, you may learn a lot of knowledge regarding metalworking. Master No2. Kids Play with Leather Leather Workshop _ CHIU, FANG-ZHEN

Boss CHIU has been living in Sanxia for decades. He used to be a senior gardener. After retirement, he learned leather creation by himself and became enthusiastic, and thus decided to become a master for the workshop, enjoying his hobby of fulfilling his own creation. He also allows more residents and tourists to learn about his hobby by way of experiencing.

“Kids Play with Leather” is a handmade leather brand we established in the community. Naughty fairies live in the powerful hands of our kids. Through learning and making leather accessories, we are allowed to cultivate kids’ patience and artistic creativity, and provide opportunities for parents to learn skills and cultivate second talents. Kids play with leather sear their tough and unique living nutrients to produce each piece of gentle and useful work.

Which kinds of leather creations are available at Triple Arts Metalworking?

Leather is a trace of romance that is mashed into our lives. Leather can be cut, carved, kneaded, and you may project all your imagination onto leather, making leather the life that you want. Here, you can choose to make some cute and light triangular coin purses, name card holders, short wallets, pen bags, notebooks, and long wallets; you may also discuss with Master CHIU regarding the type of leather that you want, to male your exclusive leatherwork!

Master No3. Yi Mu Sculpture Workshop _ Master HUANG, XI-CHEN

When you walk into the Yi Mu Workshop, you will be overwhelmed by the fragrance of wood. The warm-toned workshop has a warm and calm atmosphere; the dark and light colors of the wood grain are carved with the beauty of traditional art crafts.

Learned from Master HONG, YAO-HUI, one of the wood carving masters who built the Zushi Temple, Master XI-CHEN established the Yi Mu Sculpture Workshop in the HAKSIP Village to contribute to the art crafts development of wood carvings in Taiwan. He also trains teenagers in the community to learn about traditional wood carvings, granting a new life to traditional wood crafts, and thus extending the art crafts culture in Sanxia.

You may carve your own coaster or charm, or find the shape of time from the rectangular wood. Traveling is taciturnity, rest, and further, a commemoration sought within the flowing time. Handmake a wooden piece, carve down the most profound mark at the time and make it the most memorable and extraordinary souvenir.
