Besides croissants, the most indicative pastry in Sanxia, the traditional bakery also sells special cakes and pies according to different festivals and seasons. Peach-shaped longevity noodles, salty plum cake, red sticky rice cake(Ang ku Kueh), Moho Kuih cake, and split peach-shaped bread (pit-thô), have you ever eaten these?

Shokunin Experience – DIY

After the schoolchildren have a preliminary understanding of local craft cultures by visiting Sanxia shokunins in the morning, they will learn crafts in DIY courses in the afternoon. Through the activities, the children can inherit the beauty of traditional craft, experience shokunin craft culture, and learn the ethos of “isshokenmei (guarding something that matters with one’s own life)”.

Indigo dyeing, metalworking, engraving and enameling are provided for experiencing diversifies craft creation.

 

Indigo Dyeing

※Everyone can take home with them a 60X60cm indigo-dyed handkerchief. 



Metalworking

※Everyone can take home with them a 10cm fine copper spoon.

※This course requires working with professional tools, children less than 12 years old must be accompanied by adults.



Engraving

※Everyone can take home with them a square Fengtian stone seal.

※This course requires working with professional tools, children less than 12 years old must be accompanied by adults.

 

Enameling

※Everyone can take home with them an enamel accessory.

※This course requires working with professional tools, children less than 12 years old must be accompanied by adults. 

 

Notes:

1. This package tour is suitable for families with children.

2. Parents accompanying children less than 6 years old are free of charge, but will be accounted as one person for dining and experiencing.

3. Tour auditing, meal sharing, additional orders and additional ingredients are not provided.

4. The tour adopts a reservation system; 10 persons form a group, and the upper limit is 20 persons. (The upper limits for the metalworking tour and the engraving tour are 15 persons and 10 persons, respectively)

6. For the indigo dyeing tour, please wear dark colored clothes to prevent from dirtying the clothes.
